A Hallelujah of Thanksgiving

There’s something powerful about praising God the day after Thanksgiving. Yesterday, we gathered around tables to express gratitude, but today our hearts get to rise into something even deeper, Hallelujah Praise. Thanksgiving says, “Lord, I thank You,” but Hallelujah says, “Lord, You are worthy, no matter what.” And the day after the holiday, when the dishes are washed and the house gets quiet again, that’s when the truth of our praise really shows.
The Psalmist declared in Psalm 103:1–2, “Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.” Hallelujah Praise starts here, in the remembering. Not just remembering the blessings of yesterday, but remembering the God who has carried us through every season of this year.
As we stand between Thanksgiving and the last stretch of 2025, this is the perfect moment to pause and say, “Hallelujah for what You’ve done, and Hallelujah for what You’re still doing.” Praise doesn’t wait for December blessings. It doesn’t check the calendar to see if God has time left to move. It praises Him now, in faith, with expectation.
As we enter the last month of the year, let your Thanksgiving stretch forward into praise. Let yesterday’s gratitude turn into today’s Hallelujah.
