Once we understand that joy comes from God, we begin to see how it sustains us even in hard times.Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance - James 1:2-3.  Joy isn’t the absence of struggle it’s the strength that allows us to endure it. James challenges us to “consider it joy” when we face trials, not because the pain feels good, but because we know what it’s producing in us. Every obstacle is an opportunity for our faith to mature and our trust in God to deepen.

Nehemiah 8:10 – “Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah reminds us that God’s joy isn’t just a feeling, it’s a source of strength. It steadies us when life is shaky and lifts us when discouragement tries to take root. If you’re walking through a storm right now, remember: joy is not cancelled by pain. It’s often revealed in it. The deeper the pressure, the brighter God’s joy can shine through you.
