Lent is a sacred season, a time to reflect, to repent, and to return to the feet of Jesus. It’s a time to draw closer, to be intentional, and to remember the sacrifice He made for us. But if we're honest, even in this hol
y season, life doesn’t slow down. The hustle is real. The distractions are loud. The frustrations keep piling up. And getting to Jesus, really getting close, can feel almost impossible.
But there’s a woman in Scripture who reminds us what’s possible when we get desperate for Him.She’s known only by her condition: the woman with the issue of blood. For twelve years, she bled. For twelve years, she suffered, not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. She had spent all she had on doctors and still found no relief. She was considered unclean, isolated from community, and likely felt invisible to the world around her.
But one day, Jesus came through her town.
She could have let her condition, her pain, her shame, or her exhaustion keep her in the shadows. But she didn’t. She pressed her way through the crowd. Despite her weakness. Despite the social stigma. Despite the odds. She made up her mind that if she could just get close enough to touch His robe, she would be made whole.
That kind of desperation, moves heaven.
Life is full of barriers: overwhelming schedules, disappointments, heartbreaks, unanswered prayers. But don't let the noise and weight of the world stop you from reaching for Jesus.
Push past the busy calendar and the unanswered emails. Push past the lingering grief, the frustration, the fear. Push past the need to appear like you have it all together. And get to Jesus! Get into His Word! Get into His presence! Get into that quiet place where your soul can breathe again!
Because just like that woman, your healing, your peace, your breakthrough might be on the other side of your reach.
Jesus is near!
